Belgrade
- Welcome to
- Dobrodošli u
This wondrous city is surrounded by the flowing currents of the Danube and Sava rivers. Both silently embody the ancient secrets of past history whilst delivering with them the essence of greater Europe.
In particular, tourists have commended the Serb capital for its gastronomy, local culture and nightlife. In addition, its variety of attractions cater to lovers of art and history.
One of the most historic and valuable landmarks of Belgrade is Knez Mihailova street. A vibrant pedestrian boulevard flanked by historic buildings and home to many great coffee houses. Commencing from the ancient fortress of Kalemegdan, Knez Mihailova is the epicentre of shopping in Belgrade. Packed with malls and retail boutiques, it stretches all the way down to Republic Square.
Another noteworthy part of the city is the Savamala quarter on the riverside. Transforming from ruin to resurrection, it is currently the arts capital of the city.
A deeper venture into the heart of Belgrade will also uncover beautiful museums that exhibit the country’s political, religious, and military heritage.
For the soul-searching explorer, Belgrade is a true beacon for cultivating personal experiences. Subsequently, it’s a place where life is all about culture and tradition, adventure, romance and passion, youthfulness, and best of all, falling in love!
To quote the words of a local writer, Dusko Radovic:
“He who was fortunate enough to wake up this morning in Belgrade, can be considered as having achieved enough in his life today. Insistence on anything more would be immodest.”
